Some of our customers have commissioned our reports to present to mortgage companies. We will only advise you to go ahead with a report if we deem the refusal of a mortgage as unreasonable. If in our opinion there is a significant risk to the buildings then we know that a report is not going to help your cause and so you should save your money.
Our reports describe the knotweed problem at the property, with a scale map of the house and garden showing the extent of the infestation, a risk assessment of the danger or lack thereof to the buildings, an outline proposal for treatment, do’s and don’ts for your guidance to stop you or others exacerbating the problem, legal issues, neighboring land difficulties and their impact and any other salient information particular to your site. Finally if warranted, our expert opinion for the lenders information as to why they should not be concerned about offering mortgage facilities to the buyer.
